Petit Le Mans Race

I finished Second in the Petit Le Mans. It was a long race. I started fifth and in a few laps moved to third, then second, then I took the lead.  I drove 2h40min in the first stint and gave the car in P1.
My team mate had 2 penalties and he lost 2 laps. After that, we run most of the race in P3 or P4.
At night, I did my last stint and was able to move to second and finish.
It was a great result and a good way to finished the season. It the end, I was Third in the driver championship. I enjoyed racing LMPC in America Le Mans, the car is nice to drive and the field
very competitive.  Thanks RSR team and my full season team mate Tomy Drissi.

Eu terminei em segundo na corrida de Petit Le Mans. Larguei em quinto e fui ganhando posicoes ate assumir a lideranca. Entreguei o carro em primeiro, mas meu companheiro sofreu 2 penalizacoes e perdemos 2 voltas. Caimos para quarto e de noite, quando voltei para o volante, consegui pular para segundo e terminar bem.
Foi um bom resultado e estou feliz por terminar o ano bem. Fiquei em terceiro no campeonato. Gostei muito de correr com este prototipo. O carro e muito bom de guiar. Agora trabalhar para o ano que vem.

VIR Race

This was my first time I drove at VIR. It is a nice, very fast race track. I love it!!
We struggle I little in qualify, with a very lose car, and we finished P4, 0.3s from the pole.  In the start of the race, a P1 car spun in turn one, I got hit and broke the tow link. The team did a good job to fix it and we lost just 2 laps. I drove fast and got on the lead lap. I gave the car for my team mate and he could drive a lose car and I got it back  2 laps down, in P5. I was able to pass a car and finished P4. In the end, it was nice to learn a new fast track, but we deserved at least a podium. So let's get ready to Petit Lemans at Road Atlanta.

Neste fim de semana, eu corri em VIR. Foi a minha primeira vez nesta pista e gostei muito.
Na classificacao o carro tava muito traseiro e classifiquei em P4, a 3 decimos da pole. Na corrida, um carro na frente roudou e tomei uma batida por tras. tive que ir para os boxs arrumar o carro e perdi 2 voltas. De volta na pista, eu estava muito rapido e passei o lider 2 vezes e voltei para a volta do lider. Meu companheiro entrou, mas estava muito lento e perdeu 2 voltas. No final, peguei o carro em quinto e passei um carro para terminar em quarto. P4.
Agora eh preparar para a ultima prova do ano, Petit Lemans.

Baltimore Race

I had a nice and busy weekend in Baltimore racing ALMS and Indycar. 

In the ALMS race, I was fastest in practice and qualify on the pole. My team mate Tomy started the race and run a good pace in second place, but 2 laps before him pit, he made a mistake and lost a position and a lot of time compere to P1. I got the car in P3 49s behind the leader, after a few laps I was P2 with set the fastest race lap, but the difference from the leader was too big and we finished in Second position.

In the Indycar race, was a good experience. After 5 years with driving Indycar in a street of road course, took me a little long to get used to, specially with the brakes and the quick back from the steering wheel. Because the problems with the track, the sessions Friday were short and I did just 12 laps up to speed. Saturday morning  rained, so I went to qualify with very few laps. In qualify, I did better that I expected qualifying P10, but because the team changed the engine before going to Baltimore, I got a 10 place penalty and started P20. In the race, I did a good start, but after a few laps I hot hit from behind, spun and lost I lap. I try very hard to get the laps back on the restart with wet tires, until I was second, but the track dried and I had to change to dry tires and set with a lap down. I had a really good pace with dry track, with some fast and consistence laps. I was very happy with that. With 9 laps to go, in the chicane I brushed the wall and a few corners latter with suspension broke and I had to pit. In the end I finished P19. 

In the end, It was a nice weekend, were a I had a great ALMS race and the opportunity to race Indycars again and been competitive.

 Eu tive um fim de semana bom e bem agitado em Baltimore correndo de ALMS e Formula Indy.
Na ALMS, fui mais rapido nos treinos e fiz a pole. Meu companheiro, Tomy, largou e estava em segundo, mas errou no final e me entregou o carro em terceiro, 50segundos atras do lider. Eu comecei bem e ja pulei para segundo, fiz a volta mais rapida da corrida, mas nao conseguir tirar toda a diferenca do lider e terminamos em segundo.
Na Formula Indy, depois de 5anos sem andar de monospoto em um circuito misto, tive que me adaptar aos poucos. Devido aos problemas na pista, as sessoes de treinos foram reduzidas e fui para a classificacao sem estar conhecendo bem o carro, mesmo assim conseguir o Decimo tempo. Devido uma troca de motor entre a ultima corrida e Baltimore, perdi 10 posicoes no grid e larguei em P20.  Comecei bem, mas na nona volta tomei um toque por tras, rodei e perdi uma volta. Quase consegui recuperar a volta, cheguei a estar em segundo, mas tive que trocar os pneus. Estava em um ritimo muito bom na corrida, sendo um dos mais rapidos, o que me deixou muito feliz. Faltando 9 voltas, esbarrei no muro na saida da chincane e tive que parar nos boxs. Nos final terminei em P19.
No final, foi um bom fim de semana, com uma otima corrida na ALMS e com a oportunidade de
voltar a correr na Formula Indy e ter andado muito bem.

Baltimore Indy

This weekend, I will race Indycar for Sarah Fischer Hartman racing in the Baltimore GP. I also will race my RSR car in the ALMS. I am very happy to be back in Indy car. IT will be a busy, fast and fun weekend!!!
Neste fim de semana, vou correr na Formula Indy para a equipe da Sarah Fisher em Baltimore. Eu tambem vou correr na American Lemans com a RSR. Estou feliz em voltar a Formula Indy. Vai ser um fim de semana corrido e divertido!!!  Vamos acelerar muito!!!!

Mid Ohio Race

The race this weekend was in Mid Ohio. It is a great race track and we raced together with the Indycar. It was nice to see some of my Indycar friends. 

The car started the first practice very lose, and I finished P2. For the last practice the car was better and I was P1. Qualify was very excite, It was an intense 15 min that I got faster every lap, sometimes I was P1, sometimes P2. With 2 minutes to go I did a great lap and went to P1 with a good margin, but in the last minute Marino Franchitti went quicker. In my last lap I improved but still 0.06 behind. very close.

My team mate Tomy D. started the race and took the lead. With 5 cars behind him making lots of pressure, but hold them a few laps, but faded to P5, and later went off in turn 3 and stuck in the gravel. He got towed out, but we lost 3 laps. I got in the car and drove very fast and was able to lap the filed and get a lap back. We finished P4 with 2 laps down.

Ontem corri em Mid Ohio. Comecei os treinos com o carro saindo muito de traseira e fiquei em P2. No ultimo treino, melhorei o carro e fui P1. A classificacao foi muito intensa, melhorando a cada volta, estava em P1, e as vezes era superado e caia para P2. Com 2 minutos para o final, dei uma volta muito boa e fui para P1, mas no ultimo minuto o Marino Franchitti melhorou e fiquei em segundo. 

Meu companheiro Tomy D. largou bem e assumiu a ponta, mas aos poucos foi ultrapassado ate cair para quinto e acabou passando reto na curva 3 e ficou preso na brita. Tiraram ele da brita, mas ficamos 3 voltas atras. peguei o carro e comecei a fazer voltas muito rapidas e recuperei uma volta. terminamos 2 voltas atras em quarto.

A proxima corrida e em Road America, meu circuito favorito. Da para tentar umas uma vitoria!

Mosport Race

I had my first win of the season in Mosport, Canada. It was a great race. In qualify, I was block in my best lap and we started P4. My team mate Tomy D. did a good start and was running  third when he got a stop and go penalty. He recovered well and gave me the car in P4. The car was great and I did really fast laps passing the other car until we took the lead. In the end we won the race with a full lap in the field. It was great to win my first ALMS race. I would like to thanks The RSR team for a good work and my team mate Tomy D.
Na pista de Mosport, no Canada, consegui minha primeira vitoria do ano. Foi uma otima corrida. Larguamos em quarto, pois fui atrapalhado na classificacao. Meu companheiro lagou e andou bem. Me entregou o carro em quarto e eu comecei a fazer voltas muito rapidas e boas ultrapassgens ate assumir a lideranca. No final, terminamos uma volta na frente do segundo. Estou muito feliz com a minha primeira vitoria da ALMS.

Lime Rock race

Lime Rock race was a difficult one. I had a good qualify and was P2. The car was good and we hope to have a chance to win. My team mate started the race and lost a lap with one hour. I got in the car and set up the fastest race lap in a few laps, but I got hit by a GT car and we had to fix it. In the end with finished P5. The good news is that in 2 weeks we have another race and we have a fast car, so we can go for a win!!
A corrida de Lime Rock foi dificil. Classifiquei em segundo. Meu companheiro largou e estava devagar e ficou uma volta atras do lider. Peguei o carro e ja de cara, fiz a volta mais rapida, mas um pouco depois, fui atingido por tras por um Porsche e tive que arrumar o carro. voltei e terminamos em quinto.
